Life Cast / Body Cast Sculptures
Life cast sculptures are created from a body cast (painless and taking about 30 minutes) which is then processed to use with ceramic clays. The clay is dried and cleaned of imperfections then fired in a kiln. for 24 hours. for the first time. Once out of the kiln a glaze, or final finish, is added before going back into the kiln, for a final 24 hours, to create he finished work. Images of pieces for sale are shown here. Commission Details
About Us
Working from his home studio in a suburb of Derby DzR is owned and operated by a ceramicist, artist, photographer, wood turner, and some times writer, who after being a self-taught creative amateur decided to attend the University of Derby to hone his skills and gain his Degree in Fine Art in 2009.
